BERD UHMPWE DIFFERENCE
Our signature all road wheelset meticulously built with Berd Polylight (UHMPWE) spokes. This is not a simple conversion, but actually specially engineered for use with Berd Spokes from the hub to the rim. By using the Berd Polylight Spoke we are able to reduce weight and increase overall strength and durability. UHMPWE material for spoke provides better 'load sharing' than steel spokes and also reduces vibration. The ride feel is improved AND the wheel is able to withstand more impact loads without deformation or delamination.*
*Lab impact tests show up to 15% higher impact resistance. This does assume normal tire inflation and not side or direct rim strikes.
