Our favorite 'go to' rim is the basis of many multi-purpose discbrake wheelsets. Whether touring, cyclocross, gravel or commuting. The Velocity Aileron can't be beat in terms of flexibility of use, weight and durability. Thevariety of finish options makes it appealing for any frame / bike combo. We love this rim and build alot of wheelsets based on various hubs with it!
We build these up on high quality DT Swiss 350 hubs and DT Swiss spokes. Other small, individual 'tweaks' may be available on request as each set is individually built for the customer one at a time.

Velocity Rims are rugged, stylish and performance driven. We combine this high quality rim with equally high quality DT350 hubset to make a balanced, long lasting and high performance wheelset. Spokes are generally DT Competition, but we may choose alternates depending on our conversation with you regarding the intended use and overall performance aspects.
Rims: Velocity Aileron. Alloy, Tubeless ready. Silver or Black finish. (Special finishes available at extra cost)
Hubs: DT350-CLD (Centerlock Disc) J-spoke, Through Axle Hubs*
Drilling: 28H rear and 24H front*
Tubeless ready: Rims are pre-taped and come with tubeless valve kit.
*Alternate Hub drilling may be available on special request / order.
*All hubs are 'Through Axle' type (12mm rear and 15mm front) Please let us know if you require differently.
